create pivot table report in servicenow for incidents created year and count by incident state

Hi,

I want to create a pivot table report where table rows should be incident state and column should be incident year and table contains count against each state by year. I have tried giving state as row and column as created field. But it is taking whole date. I need to convert column as created year. Anybody have any idea?
