Customising currency display in single score charts on dashboards. ie. $28,500,000.00 becomes $28.5M

Hi,

I am looking for a way to change the display of dollar values in single score charts that will end up in a dashboard for executives.

Specifically I'd like possible round/truncate the number to do something like the following:

• What currently displays as $28,506,006.30 would display as $28.5M
• What currently displays as $2,795.00 would display as $2.8K

Is anyone able to steer me in the best direction?

It is rather not possible. 

I think you can try to find and edit templates responsible for displaying scores.

While Report Single Scores show you the full value, Performance Analytics Single Scores do this formatting.  While it would be overkill just for this, do you have the option to use Performance Analytics for this?  That would allow you to show the trend over time as well to the executives.

Thanks for your help. We should be able to use PA soon. Do you mean, we create an indicator and put that in a score widget?

Yes.  That will allow you to show the number in many different ways as well as to highlight if it is good or bad and to forecast where it is going.
