Dashboard not visible to user with correct roles

I have a user with pa_viewer and pa_contributer roles. They are member of a group that the dashboard is shared with yet they cannot see the dashboard drop-down. Any ideas? See pic. find_real_file.png

What version on you running on your instance?  Do you see any error in the system log (created by that user) or in the browser console?

We're running Kingston. No logged errors.

Do you see any JS errors in the browser's console? Is that dashboard domain separated, or does it belong to an application scope?

The fact that those users can actually access the dashboard and open it means their permissions are correct. However the empty dashboard picker box and the empty breakdown values selector below it seem to indicate something broke.
Most breakage is data related though.
