Display specific dashboard as Homepage

I am using a Zurich PDI and trying to make a dashboard the default landing page when users log in.

Based on the documentation, I updated the glide.login.home system property and set its value to:

$dashboards.do?sys_id=<sys_id_of_dashboard>

The configuration works correctly for the admin user. After login, the dashboard opens as expected.

However, for other users (including users with whom the dashboard has been shared), the dashboard does not appear as the homepage after login. Instead, they are redirected to their normal landing page.

I have already:

  • Shared the dashboard with the required users/roles.
  • Verified that the dashboard is accessible to those users when opened directly.
  • Confirmed that the glide.login.home property is set correctly.

My questions are:

  1. Are there any additional roles, permissions, or dashboard settings required for non-admin users?
  2. Does glide.login.home behave differently in Zurich for shared dashboards?
  3. Has anyone successfully configured a dashboard as the login landing page for all users in Zurich?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi @VedantZ

  • Simply sharing the dashboard isn't always sufficient for Non-admin users. They  need:

    1. Permission to access the dashboard record .Refer : Dashboard permissions
    2. Access to every report/widget on the dashboard
    3. Read access to the underlying tables used by those reports
  • Make sure the dashboard is shared with:

    1. Everyone, or
    2. the appropriate groups/roles.
