Exporting Pivot table

I have updated our data visualization plugin to 28.4.1 and we are on patch 6 hotfix 2.  We are trying to export a pivot visualization and the only options are still PDF, JPEG, PNG, etc.  There is no change or option for excel or csv. When trying to do the actual export as download, i get an error that it failed.  When trying to schedule an export, a failed email came out.  However, for the users when it tried to run, nothing was received, no error or anything, it just didn't run. Does anyone know how to get this working or what we may be missing in our plugins.  Platform Analytics plugin is up to date as well.

Pam,

I assume you are talking about Downloading a data visualization from a dashboard , not exporting a data visualization from the Visualization Designer? You cannot export a pivot table at all from the viz designer, according to documentation.
I have just tried to download a pivot table myself from a dashboard on an instance on Zurich Patch 7 (in dev), and my only download options were CSV and Excel (.xls), exactly as described in the documentation.

Edited because I looked some more, and indeed you were confusing our very similar functions to download a data visualization off a dashboard with exporting a data visualization from the visualization designer, which is why you saw all those PDF, JPEG, PNG etc options. Exporting a pivot table from the visualization designer is simply not supported. (Yes, they are two different things; yes, it's confusing; yes, all the export options are shown in the viz designer regardless of whether they support the selected data visualization type; no, for scheduled exports, email recipients are not notified that export failed. I'm sure the developers had their reasons. I suggest plastering them with Support tickets.)

I am trying to schedule an export of the pivot table to run on the first of each month.  The same thing i did in core UI for years.  We will have to do this work externally or just enable to the old scheduled report in core UI in servicenow.

Well, some good news. I found out that the inability to export pivot tables has been fixed in a defect, and the fix will be available in the Data Visualization plugin linked to Zurich Patch 7 release, or a bit later with Yokohama Patch 13 release.
