Give editing access to a report I built

Hi Folks,

I've created a report for a stakeholder, and I would now like to give them editing access to the report, so they can take it over and maintain it. I am not seeing a direct way to give this user editing access to maintain my report.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You'd have to transfer ownership to them (so perhaps script that they're the created by) or you'd have to give them one of these two roles: https://community.servicenow.com/community?id=community_question&sys_id=0776158a1bb6d0906531ea89bd4b... or impersonate them and rebuild it yourself under their name thus they "own" it and can edit without role, etc.

Thanks Allen, this worked! I went through the backend and simply changed the "Created by user" field to reflect the user who should "own" the report.

You can Share the Report with the Stakeholder.  As they update the report, have them "Save" or "Update" the report.

The other way you can do it is let them do a "Insert" where the report has them as the owner and share it with you if they want you to help with updates.  Then you would be clicking on "Save" or "Update."
