Our management likes dashboards and the various reports that can be placed under various tabs.
The desire: to have "an overview tab for management" that would highlight things like:
- Overall Issues count (Scores)
- Overall Risks count (Scores)
- Possibly a timeline (custom roadmap of the projects being handled)
- QUESTION: Is there a way to "embed" a "CIO Roadmap" under a given tab on a dashboard?
- IF so, how to do so?
- Latest project status reports for the projects being handled by a given team
- Links to reports that are located under different tabs in the same dashboard
- A weekly Comment area to high-light key things management should be aware of (e.g. Content Blocks)
- . . .
Solved! Go to Solution.

A couple of things:
Create your first tab and call it whatever you want it to be. Ex: Dashboard Contents
When you click on a tab in a dashboard, the URL changes, just grab the URL and use it on the first tab where you need it. You can you a Static Content Block and create a Table of Contents on the first tab and list out everything that you want. If you want some verbiage to go to s specific tab, go to that tab and copy the URL and then create a hyperlink in the Table of Contents in the Static Content Block.
I don't know that there is a way to go to s specific area on a tab of a report or widget. Meaning if you have to reports or widgets on a tab and it requires scrolling to get to one of them, I don't really know how you could make the URL scroll the tab to where that report or widget is. *If someone knows, they may comment on your question as well*.
You may also be able to use a Dynamic Content Block to do some of this as well.

Thanks you, Thomas
Yes, I seem to have fallen off your bi-weekly presentations.
Appreciate the link . . . and you are welcome about the feedback.
Side note: I am use to doing documentation amongst many other things.
A lot of times, I try to write for the neophyte as well as the technical reader. That way, the "tech" can skip the "many steps and snapshots", while the "neophyte" is shown the step-by-step with explanation . . . and after-a-while, the "neophyte" emerges with a stronger understanding.
Granted it takes more time, but the "pay-off" is so huge that it turns into a win-win . . . with a more competent colleague who understands how the app/system works.

Thanks again for digging up this link, Thomas.
Yes, I've noticed that Content Blocks do have a place/purpose on a Dashboard.
The Content Block utilities are like "icing and sprinkles and candles" on a cake!
Of course, these "sprinkles / icing / candles" are dollar bills!
Take care . . .
