I am using the old Self-Service Dashboard, not the new one due to the page navigation issue. In the old dashboard system, a user wants an interactive filter to filter a range of dates for different columns. They want to filter between a range of dates for the created-on column, and a separate filter to filter between a date range of the closed-on date. So, if the user wants to see all stories created between April 2025 and May of 2025, they want a filter to do so. I was able to do this in the new platform system, but the old one may need advanced scripting.

In the legacy report builder there is nothing OOTB, but several have tried to build custom solutions. I would advise you to look towards Platform Analytics as this is the new reporting capability in ServiceNow, where we all at some point need to migrate to. In the platform analytics, there is a date range filter OOTB.
