How to make a formula indicator work?

To Whom it May Concerned,

I created a formula indicator and add it to indicator group. But I could not add such indicator to any job. Therefore, I could not generate any records to my widget.

I looked into OOB formula indicator and saw records populated on the OOB Incident Management dashboard widget.

Did I miss something?

Please advise.

Formula indicators are based on the values in either automated and/or manual indicators and do not need to be collected. So no need to add it to job. If your formula indicator is not showing any values look at the data driving the indicators that make it up.   Here is some additional information Create a formula indicator

Hi,

Make sure you add the indicators that make up your formula indicator to a job.

For example,   Formula indicator = Indicator 1 + Indicator 2 * 100

The indicator 1 and Indicator 2 need to be added to a job.
