How to map a manual breakdown with a table field ?

Hello,

The title says it all. I want to have a breakdown on the 'Article code' field on the 'Product Model' (cmdb_model) table.

As we can't create automated breakdown on fields other than references and sys IDs, I want to create a manual breakdown and populate it via a scheduled job.

All of this is well done, and the manual breakdown has the correct article codes of all my product models. But I don't see a way to map that breakdown with the Product Model table.

In the 'Automated Breakdown' view, we have the 'Breakdown mapping' related list, in which we can map our automated breakdown with a field, but I was astonished that such a related list doesn't exist in the 'Manual Breakdown' view.

So, how am I supposed to map my manual breakdown values to a specific field ?

N.B: I already tried to go to the 'pa_breakdown_mappings' that contain the automated breakdowns mappings and I created manually my mapping even if the related list doesn't exist in the

Manual view. But that had no effect.

Thanks in advance !

Hi Adil,

In order to create such a breakdown you should create a breakdown sandwich. I wrote a post on how to create this. Please check out: Re: How can I create a breakdown by task type on the Time Card table?

Thanks a lot Vincent. That's it !

I think that Manual Indicator's field mapping should be a native feature instead of all that pain.
