How to specify display view of dropdown options for reference type interactive filter

I have built a reference interactive filter, but want to specify which field values should show up in the dropdown. It is showing the display value field by default, which for this table is an abbreviated code. I would like to specify a different field to be the display value in the filter for the dropdown, which for this table is the full name of the record. I know for catalog item reference variables, you can define the columns that show up for records in the dropdown using the variable attributes field. Is there something like that for interactive filters? I'd rather not change the display field for the table globally.
