Interactive Filter "between dates"

we would like to add a "between dates" interactive filter to an home page.

Like in list filtering:

Do you know if it's feasible and how?

Did any one get this to work? I tried this as well and it does not work in all the scenarios. 

Seems as everytime I open the dashboard the reports stop following the filter..

This fixed version of the update set currently works for me. Is basically the Norwegian fixed version from Preben Svinterud but translated back to english. So at the end the update set includes the custom interactive widget object and the fixed macro.

I used the update set to fix the filter. But now I am missing After and before, plus other options. I was wondering how to get those to work again?
