This isn't tracked by default like it is on the incident table. Because the business_duration field exists on the task table, you don't have to recreate it, but you will have to create the business rule. My advice is to check out the mark_closed business rule on your incident table and create one on your sc_req_item table, adjusting for the appropriate states and time fields.
