PA Show Records - New button visibility

I am trying to get rid of the New button on the Platform Analytics drilldown pages when I toggle Show Records. I do not want users to be able to create any new records while looking at the reporting data. How do I get rid of that button without removing user's ability to do so in the basic list view?

I've tried Omit new on list view - had no effect.

Well, we opened a ticket with SN support and did a little digging on our own as the proposed solution was not acceptable or feasible i.e. did not work.

This required the use of Action Exclusions [sys_workspace_declarative_action_exclusion] table. See screenshot and using Interaction [Interaction] table as an example. And, yes, the sys_id there is the one to use. Don't question it, just try it and use it.

I am realizing that this is a KPI Details UI Builder page, but the question is still the same. Also the Edit button is disabled, so why not New? Not sure what was the thought behind leaving the new button exposed. Hmm!
