All,
I am working in a new company environment and have a user who created a visualization. When he selects the add new widget to the dashboard. his dashboard does not appear in the list. help

test instance shows a security constraint which to me seems odd. He owns the report and the dashboard.

@kbkrabbenhoft May I know under which scope the dashboard is created? If it is created in different scope and if they are on different scope then you would have this type of issue.

Platform Analytics is where the dashboard lives. The report may be the issue. I sadly have been asked to stop on the issue and let another developer who created the dashboard and the report for the user to assist. Thank you everyone for the efforts here. I am still new to this organization and the access I have is limited.

1. Ensure the dashboard and widget are not in a different scope
2.Sharing a dashboard does not automatically grant access to the underlying reports/widgets. Ensure the user has access to the underlying report data
3. Check if the dashboard was recently moved via update sets, widgets might not display properly.
