Recommended Setup for a "My Work" Dashboard that covers multiple task types

So I've been wanting to create a "one dashboard to rule them all", a one-stop shop for "My Work" that would include.

- Incidents
- Request Items
- User Stories
- Change Requests
- Problems
- .........you get the idea.

I know my way around reporting, PA and dashboards but wanted to get some inspiration from others of how best to lay this out. I'm usually creating dashboards for specific purposes.

I figured I would end up using the task table with a dynamic assigned to me which may limit some of my column options or I can go with multiple scores with drill-downs for each type of task.

What are some examples you folks have used? Appreciate the help.

Depends on the purpose of the dashboard.  I could see a gauge that has opened tasks, with a query for each task type.  That way, when they click through, they get to see the table list view, not the generic task list view.  Also, I would put some SLA metrics on it, so users can see their footprint on the overall SLA. And I would do both historic numbers and active numbers.

Basically, I like to give users the info they need to go to any end of year discussions well-prepared.

Thanks Mike, the gauge counts were a nice throwback, I haven't used them in years but they did a great job of summarizing the work as shown below.

I am glad it worked out.  I think gauges are an underused part of the reporting platform, and they give such insight so quickly, I always try to use them.
