Trend report on all active tickets in a que

I'm trying to build a trend report that shows how many tickets are active with a group week to week. I want the trend to be "state" or "date". I don't want to know how many tickets were created or closed. I just want to know how many tickets are active and with the assigned team week by week.  I can't create a report with trend being state or date. how would this be possible?

If I understand you correctly, you want to see how many tickets were active by week - correct? If this is correct, then it is unfortunately not possible by utilizing report designer, as report designer always fetch current status. Instead if possible, you need to utilize Performance Analytics to take snapshots on a weekly basis.
