User experience analytics queries

Hi All,

Need some help and clarifications to below queries related to User Experience Analytics -

1. "For single session data the retention period is 3 months. For aggregated analytics reports the retention period is 2 years."

What does Single session data includes? and when it gets deleted after 3months, what kind of reports will lose the data?

What are the aggregated analytics report which will continue to show data for a period of 2 years?

 

2. How can we customize and add reports to get insights into 

most viewed/most actioned records on the portal, for example - most viewed catalog items in a specific month/ most viewed learning courses in a specific month etc.

Thank you for your questions. I'm a PM on the User Experience Analytics team.

1. Single Session data: refers to the session section records and any other place you can access session records such as Users Grid ( only the sessions list, users themselves are kept for 2 years) 

Any other data is kept for 2 years

2. Dashboard customization in the insights level is currently not supported in the User Experience Analytics dashboard, to get the view you described you can navigate to events and view the event property breakdown.
To get a customized view by using User Experience Analytics capabilities and metrics you can create a custom dashboard using UI Builder (select "pie chard" as data visualization and User Experience Analytics as the data source), please make sure you installed the following plugin:   https://store.servicenow.com/sn_appstore_store.do#!/store/application/c3ea667273dcfa382d6f7ae02b0820... ( Supported from the Tokyo release)
