Hello Fellow Members,
We have a dashboard that shows details like this:
Many people have the ability to see this dashboard; the dashboard contains report based widgets only.
When they try to export the dashboard to PDF format using the Export to PDF option from the hamburger menu, the report comes out looking like this:
Why would this be? Is there anything that can be done to prevent this?
One or two of the report widgets do come out, but not all? I am wondering what the difference is between those that do and those that don't?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This worked on New York, since upgrade to Orlando, it is failing
Thanks

If all the other tabs export correctly and they are all simple reports than perhaps there is another issue going on. Maybe you want to open a HI Incident.

You could also check the ACL's if the reports are looking at different tables. But with you being an Admin, that should not be an issue. Never hurts to check. If not, just put in an Incident with HI.

Hi Kieron,
Just wondering if you ever got to the bottom of this? We're experiencing exactly the same issue that you've described with one of our dashboards.
Regards
Rich

Hi Rich,
Sorry, no, we haven't yet... ACLs looked OK, there is no "special content" limitations that we can see. We raised a HI ticket, but got back just the same information as above, in the "limitations" piece. We've just about exhausted every reasonable avenue. I'm beginning to think that the "export to PDF" cannot handle so many widgets, simple one chart, one list exports only; not multiple items in this fashion. Is your dashboard structured similarly, many widgets?
I'd be interested in an progress that you may happen to make?
Sorry I can't be of much more help at this stage.
Regards
Kieron

Hi Kieron,
Our dashboard is indeed similar; 6 reports (5 which are bar charts and 1 which is a list view). I have just done some testing and found that it seems be the report that is a list view causing the problem and preventing the others from displaying, if I remove the list view report from the dashboard and then export the dashboard to pdf all the other reports that didn't previously display show correctly.
I think I will raise a HI portal ticket of our own with this new found info to see if it gets us any further.
Regards
Rich
