Why Does My Dashboard PDF Export Not Work?

Hello Fellow Members,

We have a dashboard that shows details like this:

find_real_file.png

Many people have the ability to see this dashboard; the dashboard contains report based widgets only.

When they try to export the dashboard to PDF format using the Export to PDF option from the hamburger menu, the report comes out looking like this:

find_real_file.png

Why would this be? Is there anything that can be done to prevent this?

One or two of the report widgets do come out, but not all? I am wondering what the difference is between those that do and those that don't?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. This worked on New York, since upgrade to Orlando, it is failing

Thanks

Hi Rich,

Thanks for responding back - that is interesting. We also tried what you have; the same result.

If you do get a reply / resolution on the HI ticket, I think it may be useful if you could reply again to this chain, stating what the findings were.

Good luck

Kieron

Hi Kieron,

After raising a HI ticket I have been advised that this is a supposed known problem and ServiceNow are currently working on a resoloution.  Please see their response to me below:

1: The PRB is seen across both Responsive and non- responsive dashboard.
2: Unfortunately there is no fix workaround available at this moment for this issue. in some cases "enabling responsive dashboard resolved the issue"
3: Chance of hitting the PRB is more when there is a list report in the dashboard.
4: I already associated this case to the PRB1411582. You will get the notifications from Servicenow side when the FIX is available for you.
5: You can track the PRB on following link:
https://hi.service-now.com/nav_to.do?uri=problem.do?sys_id=1e8fc9f9db691410f7fca851ca9619cc

Does this problem ticket still exist? I get a message "Record not found".

Thanks Rich, for replying with this update - well I suppose it's something, at least it's a know issue.

I guess we'll have to wait to see what comes out of the PRB report (thanks for the link).

BTW: I did tell the affected user to remove the list report, and he's satisfied, that the dashboard will export, and has worked around the issue for now by placing the list report(s) on another dashboard.

Thanks

Kieron
