In this installment of the Process Mining Academy we focus on Multi-dimensional Process Maps. Many workflows are a series of interconnected processes and in order to understand where the inefficiencies in those processes lie its sometimes useful to have end to end visibility so we can not only see the bottlenecks within the individual processes themselves but also the potential inefficiencies as the different processes interact with one another. Multi-dimensional process maps allow you stitch together multiple processes or tables through parent/child or reference relationships so we can accomplish this type of analysis.
