We are finding it difficult to get entitlements, license metrics, licenses, allocations, etc set up without some training on the functionality and the use of the Software Asset Management Pro module. We don't know what the best action to take is when we can't find our Publisher Part number in the SN list. We haven't been able to figure out how to set up things when we have a license metric that isn't in the SN list.
Information on where to find SAM Pro specific training materials, and training materials on specific SAM Pro topics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your assistance.

See attached PDF.
Also strongly recommend attending training.
We do offer a CIS-SAM certification
Hope this helps,

Here are somethings to consider if you have not looked into it yet:
ServiceNow offers 'Software Asset Management Fundamentals' training. This is a 3 days session and costs $2,400/person. It gives an overview on how to use SAM Pro tool. This is very high level and may not answer all your questions. Ref: https://www.servicenow.com/services/training-and-certification/training-paths/software-asset-management-fundamentals.html
Get some guidance through ServiceNow Product Documentation. FYI...We are implementing SAM Foundation (not SAM Pro) and the documentation is not 100% accurate/detailed but still somewhat helpful. Ref: https://docs.servicenow.com/
Solicit ideas from your peers at other companies.
If a license metric is not in ServiceNow, you can create Custom license metric. There is a separate table to store all the custom license metrics. Kind of similar concept applies with products but you have the option to share your product data with ServiceNow and they can hopefully add it into their Software Library down the road.
Good luck,

Thanks, Jesbhir. We have decided to try creating some Custom License Metrics. That has not been completely successful yet because of the need to code the script to get Rights, and because we don't have any discovery set up yet.
