Can we do BULK uploads to the Contracts (ast_contract) table ?

I am wanting to upload an export from another application of all of our software contracts into ServiceNow.  Is it possible to perform a bulk upload to the ast_contract table if we have all of the required fields ?   If so, is there a template ?

Paula - There is not a way similar to the software entitlement upload. I believe the only two areas where SAM admins can do uploads in SAMPro are entitlements and software spend detection.

However, I believe you can accomplish an upload of your contracts through an excel file via an import set & transform map. This would most likely require an admin of the entire platform if you are not already one. Hope this helps a little!

@Paula Stewart Yes, this is possible. You can create your own template (excel file), add all the relevant information/fields you want from the other application. Load the data, create transform map, use mapping assistant to match the fields from your source file to the target table (ast_contract), save and transform. Newly created contracts will have to be reviewed and approved by the "Approver" in ServiceNow. Approver can do a mass approval of contracts so it can move to an "Active" state.
