We are trying to bring in Microsoft Visual Studio Subscription into ServiceNow but it looks like there is no OOTB process available at the moment based on the following article. Has anyone done this integration in different way? Appreciate any inputs.

Hi @RK25,
this is correct, at the moment SAMP does not support the automated import of VS subscriptions, due to VS portal API limitations.
Please check the following video provided by SN SAM Rangers about VS incl. subscriptions handling based on allocations -> Microsoft Visual Studio License Compliance Support... - ServiceNow Community
Second approach, based on the exported list you could also create software subscription records in SAMP (similar to M365).
Best, Dennis

Thanks for the response @dreinhardt. Is there an alternative like building custom REST API to pull this data?

Hi @RK25,
you should check the VS API if the able to provide these details.
Another automated way is the use of Microsoft Entra groups to assign subscriptions. Please check the following Microsoft docs - Assign subscriptions to multiple users - Visual Studio Subscription | Microsoft Learn

I wonder if @Randy Scrapper might be able to lend any insights as the knowledge article hasn't been updated in a year and I believe I saw a video in the ranger series which had an integration profile for Visual Studio.
In the meantime, @dreinhardt has provided an awesome resource in the form of that Microsoft article!
@RK25 I'm actively working the same issue and will provide any solution we may work out.
Cheers,
Daniel
