I have a task in the SAM Success activity details that requires checking compliance for the  Health Literacy Advisor . Could you please guide me through the steps to complete this task?

Based on your screenshots, Here's how to work through it:

 

Step 1 - Identify the Software in SAM Pro

 

Navigate to SAM Pro → Software Models and search for "Health Literacy Advisor". You're looking for:

 

  • The normalized software model

  • The publisher it's mapped to

  • Any existing entitlements linked to it

Step 2 - Check Installations

 

Go to License Workbench or Software Installtion Table

  1. Filter by the software name / publisher

  2. Review the Installed Quantity vs. Entitled Quantity

If the software isn't appearing in the workbench, check whether Discovery has picked it up via cmdb_sam_sw_install.

 

Step 3 - Validate Entitlement Records

 

Navigate to Entitlement and search for Health Literacy Advisor:

 

  • Is there an active entitlement record?

  • Is the metric correctly mapped?

  • Is the entitlement linked to the correct software model?

If no entitlement exists, you may need to create one manually or flag it as a gap.

 

Step 4 - Confirm and Update the Success Activity

 

Once you've reviewed compliance posture:

 

  1. Open SGAT0001007

  2. Update the Description field with your findings - e.g., "Health Literacy Advisor - X installs found, Y licenses entitled. Position: compliant/under-licensed. Action taken: [created entitlement / flagged for procurement / etc.]"

  3. Add a Work Note summarising what you confirmed

  4. Change State from Open -> Closed Complete (CLosed Skipped)  if the software is no longer in scope)

Since this is 1 of 10 activities on the success goal, once SGAT0001007 is closed, check if the remaining 9 are progressing. But closing activities keeps the Status: In Progress moving toward completion and helps track actual vs. projected savings..
