Cisco IOS XE - No Operating systems shown in SAM Pro

Is there a setting etc. that hides operating systems?  A user wants to introduce monitoring usage of Cisco IOS XE and it occured to me that we do not see any operating system for WIN or Mac.  Could there be a setting disabling OS's?

Hi @andynewey ,

all data imported into the SW install table (software and OS record) depends on the data source and the integration used to connect with SN to get data into the platform.

 

  • What source system you’re using to import computer, hardware and software details into SN
  • Please confirm that you’ve 0 sw install records for any kind of operation system in cmdb_sam_sw_install?
  • What software is used to managed the Cisco IOS EX devices and is it connect to SN?
