Content Services/Where do Software Categories and Classifications come from?

Is there a reference or location we can use, to see where the categories and classifications come from, for SAM/etc?

Example, in Software Asset Workspace, the overlapping usage is based on Application Category.  Can we do anything to edit/change/customize these, without having APM?

In SAM, categories like Application Category and Software Classification come from:

•Application Categories (cmdb_software_product_model_category)

•Software Model Categories (cmdb_software_product_model) – Assigned to software models in SAM > Software Models.

•Software Classification (cmdb_software_instance) – Populated via Discovery/SCCM.

You can customize categories without APM by manually updating software models and application categories or via business rules.
