Discovery phases

All,

As per my understanding, software installed on a device is identified under "Exploration" phase of discovery.

However, if the same question is asked as "software identified on an IP-enabled device", does the answer remains same - Exploration ?

I have marked it correct, however I was unable to get specific statement which state that IP enabled devices falls under classification, kindly suggest.

Thanks in advance

@Vaibhav Sharma1

'Exploration is the phase where the software running on the IP-enabled device is identified.'

You can find this line on below servicenow elearning.

Hi @Sandeep Dutta ,

Thank you for your response. However, I was little bit confused on this page of docs.

Request you to confirm if below 2 statements and phases are correct:

- Which phase identifies software running on a device: Exploration

- Which phase identifies software running on an IP enabled device: Classification

Is it correct? Kindly suggest
