Entitlement Creation in SAM Pro

I'm curious on how everyone creates their software entitlements in SAM Pro.  I know there are the OOB methods, Manual, Wizard, and Bulk upload via spreadsheet.  But how are others integration with other modules or custom tables to auto generate entitlements?  Planning out our rollout and just curious what others have found worked or didn't work for them.  Thanks!

  • Integrate with Procurement Data: You can integrate SAM Pro with Procurement (POs, PO Lines, Receiving Slips) within ServiceNow or external systems like SAP Ariba.Once a Receiving Slip is generated, it automatically creates a Software Entitlement linked to the correct PO and asset details.

  • Publisher Part Number Mapping: You can map PPNs from procurement to Software Models in SAM. This ensures the entitlements link correctly to the software catalog without manual intervention. If the PPNs are missing on Servicenow you can raise a ticket for ServiceNow Content team to update it as per the requirement with valid proof.
