Field Configuration, table extension

I have created a license request table which stores the request records that are created in request table, I configured it using business rule. But the problem is I need my License request record to contain a field called requested item name. I have struck configuring this, since requested item table is not extensible how to configure it, I want the item name to be auto populated in the license request record
