What filtration criteria should we set for importing Adobe from legacy ITAM tool for Adobe into ServiceNow, especially considering that the data and entitlements in the legacy tool could be 10-20 years old?
We don't need any past data that is not worth measuring
One of the criteria is that on-prem licenses that are not assigned to anyone which were procured more than 2 years ago (or something along those lines) should not be brought into ServiceNow
What are some other filtration criteria's?

@dreinhardt- I have another question. We were told that some Adobe perpetual licenses ae converted to subscription licenses at some point of time. Need we import these?
This actually makes the import process slightly complicated.
Based on this information, are there any other things I need ask the team, or look out for?

Hi @iamkurt,
From my experience, there is a proof from the reseller or manufacturer for every change of license type, and these documents usually also contain additional/new information that you can use (PPN, etc.).
Otherwise, I would deactivate the old entitlement and create a new one with the updated values. These can be the same as for the old one, only the license type is changed to “Subscription”. SAM Pro has no problems with a license type being changed retrospectively, even if the PPN points to Perpetual, for example.
I believe that the two separate entitlements make it easier to track historical entitlement changes.
Best, Dennis
