This may be an incredibly simple one, and I'm kind of hoping it is...
I cant get the True Up Cost field to populate with anything other than $0.00
Any advice? I've entered a cost in the software model and the software entitlement. The reconciliation is telling me its out of compliance and identifies there are two unlicensed installs.
I've trawled through business rules and client scripts and cant find anything that acts on that field...
Please help!

Hi Ryan,
I think the issue is that the Software Model (and linked entitlements) where you have assigned a cost are not mapped to the correct Software Discovery Model. During reconciliation, if licensable Discovery Models cannot be reconciled with a Software Model, then they will be flagged as 'unlicensed installs' and non-compliant from a license position perspective.
Regards, Mike.

Hi Mike,
If I follow the trail and go to the Software Model > Show Matching Discovery Models (related links) > it shows me the correct Software Discovery Model. If I then open that it shows a related list (Software Installations) confirming the machines the software is installed on. It all seems to be linked together correctly there.
However, if I then open one of the Software Installation records from that related list and check the Reconciliation tab there is an Entitlement field and its blank.
I'm guessing that's where its falling down. I imagine if that was populating correctly it would pull through the true up cost from the entitlement record.
Any advice on how to get that field populating?

Hi Ryan,
If you navigate to the Software Model, scroll down to the related lists on the bottom and select "Software Entitlements". Are you seeing Entitlements associated with the Software Model?

Julian

Hi Julian,
Yes I am. I can reconcile the software no problems and it gives me an out of compliance result (which is expected) and tells me the correct number of unlicensed installs but for some reason it does not give me a true up cost.
