How to change Display Name of Normalised discovery Model

Hi,

I am working on Kingston release and SAM pro module.

I have seen few enterprise SQL server had been normalized as SQL Server 2016 Integration Services 13.2.5026.0

I  reverted the normalization and change the Product name to SQL Server instead of "SQL Server Integration Services"

But post normalization , it shows "SQL Server Integration Services" as product name instead of "SQL Server"

Please let me know how to change this product name and overall display name to show the correct model.

Please find the attached snapshot.find_real_file.png

Regards,

Nick

Hi Nick,

The values in the Discovered Publisher, Discovered Product, and Discovered Version attribute reflect SQL Server Integration Services, which indicates the Normalization engine correctly normalized the Discovery Model.  Can you look on the individual Server CI's to see if the Software Installations Tab also shows SQL Server?  I suspect both titles were discovered and you have this Discovery Model as well as the actual SQL Server installation.  Please note, for ServiceNow Discovery to return the SQL Server Edition (Enterprise or Standard) you'll need to enable Pattern Discovery if you haven't done so already.  I've added a whitepaper to this post to help you.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for the quick response. Yes there was another record for MS SQL Server.
