How to Make a default selection of knowledge base on kb_search page? by default search should be restricted only on two knowledge bases

Ash shown in screen shot self service and itsm knowledge bases should be selected by default when we search keyword in search box.Also resulted knwoledge bases should belong to same category.

The current behavior is showing all the knowledge bases and result shows all the articles belongs to those knowledge bases

There is no capability to retain search preferences for an individual user (except language filter).

An admin can configure which knowledge bases are searchable in a particular portal, which will apply to all users visiting the portal. The steps are as follows:

  1. Go to Service Portal -> Portals.
  2. Open the Knowledge Portal (kb) record.
  3. In the related list "Knowledge Bases" select the knowledge bases you want to be searched on the portal (You may have to change Application to "Knowledge Management Service Portal").
