We are trying to manage Windows 10 ESU (Extended Security Updates) licensing in SAM Pro.
We manually created Software Models and entitlements for Windows 10 ESU, but reconciliation is not working as expected.
Our challenge:
ESU behaves like OS maintenance/support, not like traditional software that gets installed.
Because of this, modeling ESU as a software installation does not seem appropriate.
What we want SAM Pro to do:
- Automatically calculate ESU consumption based on devices running Windows 10
- Track Year 1 / Year 2 / Year 3 coverage
- Ensure we have the correct number of ESU subscriptions owned or purchased
