Hi team,
I have a question related to SCCM.
when an application is upgraded to a latest version, will the old version move to removed software list?
Because, currently we have activated service Graph connector with SCCM but the problem we are facing is that we have more than 1 installation of same software with different versions. For example, on my machine I have a Google chrome installed when it was updated to latest version, the latest version getting created in software installation table but the old version of Google chrome also still showing under Software installations. So, indirect this is causing duplicate counts issue. Can anyone guide me on how to solve this issue?

Hi GVK,
To answer your question, Yes.
If an application has been upgraded to a new version the software installation record will be reflected within 1-2 days depending on when the device scans to SCCM, then subsequently is dumped into SN. You will see a new "updated" date or "created" date on the installation record. I would check the same computer in SCCM console and validate if it is or is not picking up two installs on that particular device. If you do see it in SCCM, there may just be an issue with the installer leaving some component behind with the previous version.

Thank you.
Yes, we checked in sccm console and it is showing only 1 version as active and the previous version is not showing in removed softwares. I think because of this we are having duplicate records of same software with different version, this is affecting reconciliation results
