Integrating with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition or SAP SuccessFactors

Hi,

I want to ask if anyone have tried integrating SAM Pro with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition or SAP SuccessFactors?

If yes, I will be appreciate if you could share your experience

1. Are they fully Out-of-Box? I read instruction and see they are OOB but just want to confirm

2. What data we can get from these integrations and how it looks like? User email + user activity?

3. Is there anything I should know and be caution of before starting these integrations?

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

I have experience with both integrations. While both are fully out-of-the-box (OOB), there are some critical architectural differences you should keep in mind:

1. SAP SuccessFactors

The current OOB integration only retrieves a flat list of users who have access to SuccessFactors. It does not differentiate which specific modules a user (e.g., Performance & Goals, Compensation, etc.) is actively accessing or assigned to.

Impact: This prevents precise mapping of user subscriptions to their corresponding purchased products.

Data Storage: The collected data is stored in the standard User Subscription table (samp_sw_subscription) and is limited to the user's email and their last activity date.

2. SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
In addition to retrieving the user's email and last activity date, this integration also pulls the assigned user roles (e.g., Self-Service, Core, Advanced). This role data is exactly what is required to accurately calculate Full Use Equivalent (FUE) licensing. Integration is available only for Public, while for Private there is no official roadmap by ServiceNow.
