If ITOM is already implemented it is possible for SAM to utilise any of the Discovery from that module (ideally automatically without manual export/importing files) when setting up SAM or should you ideally setup the SAM Discovery and SAM module standalone
I guess ITOM is largely hardware orientated too - what I am wondering is can we see what software is running on what hardware in SAM ? - or is that largely the job of Service Maps ?

Hi @Stu2025,
as long your existing ITOM setup already includes software discovery you're ready for SAMP.
After the installation please perform the following task to move all existing software installation records into the new SAMP tables - Migrate software installations. All data discovered after this step was done will be stored in the new table and available for SAMP.
