Please refer attached screenshot. On Software Asset Workspace → License Usage tab - on the LHS (Left Hand Side), we want to get rid of models that we don't use, so that stakeholders don't get confused.
How do we accomplish this?
I got suggestions saying that I can use sys_ux_list and deactivate teh records I don't want but so far I have not been able to figure how sys_ux_list will help me.
Another suggestion was to check "License model management" on cmdb_software_product_model table and set it to false for some model, but that has not helped either thus far.
What I want is that the products and models themselves should not appear on the LHS.
I took the UI Builder route but that is an endless deep dive into a rabbits hole.
Can someone offer me some suggestions?
Thanks in advance for the same.

Hi @iamkurt
SAM is unfortunately not quite that simple, the displays in the workspace already have a right to exist. Each entry is either based on active entitlements and a software model is created and displayed for this reason. Or, a software installation has been found for this product and the product is marked as “subject to license” and should be checked by the SAM team.
I can see "Core Infrastructure Server Suite" is marked as "Compliant", it can only be compliant when entitlements are added to the system - you should check this. Same for e.g. Project, PowerBi - the M365 integration imports also usage for these applications and not only for E3/E5.
ServiceNow SAM Pro provides the following feature to manage your onboarding phase-wise and hide not in scope software from the workspace - Manage phase-wise Software Asset Management implementation
