Suggested Normalization is blank

Why would the suggested normalization be blank for suggested edition? Has anyone encountered this? And what needs to be done to correct it?

Hi @vkalsi,

Normalization suggestions are derived from the discovered raw data (including Publisher, Product, and Edition). The content library attempts to map this discovered data to existing content records to ensure accurate normalization of Publisher, Product, Version, and Edition. Additionally, the suggestion compares also manually normalized records—based on the raw data—with the content library. In your example, you normalized the record to the "Standard" edition. However, there is no raw data evidence supporting this classification. Therefore, the suggestion to remove "Standard" is correct.

Hi Dennis,

That makes sense.

For this particular normalization suggestion, I have confirmed that the edition is indeed Standard for those installs found under that discovery model, and that would be the reason why I manually normalized it.  Do you know what additional raw evidence would be required so that suggestion can normalize these records in the future?
