Normalization of Windows Server 2022 Datacenter

Hi all,

In our instance we have SAM Pro running and recently have setup some servers with Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Datacenter.

However, on Normalization, this is ootb normalized to the  'Microsoft Windows' product and NOT to 'Microsoft Windows Server'. Is there something wrong in my instance or is the normalization for Win Server 2022 not yet there?
Anybody else having the same issue?

For now, I reverted the ootb normalization and did the normalization manually.
But I prefer to use the OOTB one if possible 🙂

Cheers, Patrick

Hello @Patrick Oudsho1 ,

It's possible that the normalization for Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Datacenter is not yet available in your instance of SAM Pro. The normalization rules for software and hardware products are typically updated periodically by ServiceNow, so it's possible that the latest update has not yet been applied to your instance.

You may want to check with ServiceNow support or consult the documentation for SAM Pro to see if there are any updates or patches available that include the normalization rules for Microsoft Windows Server 2022 Datacenter. In the meantime, manual normalization is a possible workaround, as you have already done.

Thanks
