From the Red Hat Licensing Guide, Counting method for public cloud Virtual instances:
Number of virtual instances 20, Divide the number of virtual instances by 2 for the number of subscriptions for
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server.
We have RHEL BYOL being discovered in Google Cloud. From the above RHEL licensign guide I would expect Sampro to divide the number of VMs by 2 to calculate the number of licenses required. However, instead after reconciliation a RHEL Server license is being consumed for each VM (ie double the quantity required). Has anyone else encountered this? The linux severs in GCP are correctly flagged as BYOL in the key values table. Thanks
