Hi All,
We are converging several siloed companies into one global instance. The Powers That Be granted our wish for SAM Pro. (YAY!) In order to populate the CMDB (and SAM tables), we set up the SCCM and Intune Service Graph connectors with the appropriate mid-servers and have been starting to understand our software landscape and figuring out how to populate the missing data points (assigned to, company that purchased).
We'd like to get CSD configured and running, so that at some point all the users will come to a single catalog to ask for their software needs and have it be distributed in a way that enables global reporting instead of the silos we have now.
CSD 2.0 instructions in the documentation tell me to 1) Configure the Application Administrator role on the SCCM server and 2)Create Connection and Credential alias for SCCM deployments. But, in setting up the SGC, I've already connected to that server with a mid-server and created a connection and credentials. Can I use these same credentials for the CSD? Why or Why not? Any help is appreciated.

Hi @Alice_Ward,
the SG integration requires read only to the SCCM database / Intune configuration to get details about hardware and software per device
CSD requires extended access to the backend to perform actions for software collection management like add/remove device to groups. For SCCM this requires the admin access to the SCCM console and for intune is covered by the Entra ID/Azure integration
Best, Dennis
