SG-SCCM integration

Hi ,

We have SG-SCCM and SG-Intune in our project. The SCCM is using a midserver that belongs to a cluster and since other midserver in cluster doesn't have a service account with full access to SCCM DB,  our SCCM svheduled jobs gives random runs authentication error. We are fixing that paralelly.

However, my doubt is, some of the runs of my schedules are successful and sccm is bringing data into instance(dev). But it doesnt bring the complete data - example, it brings Microsoft product data to software installation table, but brings only 2 or 3 models of adobe. Is there a possibility that the authentication issue would contribute to data completeness?

Any help would be appreciated

Hi @swetham1,

Unfortunately, anything is possible based on your explanation, even if you say that the connection can sometimes be imported completely. As long as your connection is not reliable and stable, troubleshooting is more of a matter of luck.
What you can do is compare the SCCM raw data (number of installations per product) with the imported data for your Adobe example – but even this insight will only help you to a limited extent, as you are dependent on a complete import.

Thanks for responding!!

We have fixed the account issue and there's no more authentication error now. However, my software data is being brought into software installation table by SG-SCCM and the removed software job clears almost 70

% of data off the same table ..

Hi @swetham1,

if the data is already outdated (e.g., device retired in SCCM or software uninstalled) this could be a valid result of the SCCM software removal step.

As mentioned above, to ensure completeness and correctness of your SCCM integration - please pick up to 5 different devices and compare the SCCM install data with the data in ServiceNow SAMP.

Or, remove all SCCM data (SW installs) and run another import to get only the latest results.

Hi @dreinhardt ,

I also feel the same. I have had the sccm team run my software data source OOTB query on the db and have got the dump. Im comparing the one with the SCCM sw install data. Shall do that and keep you posted 🙂
