Software installation records being marked as "ignored installs" reason inactive install

I'm trying to understand the reasoning behind this. the device is active. and there is no other explanation that I can find that advised why these are ignored installs. These are discovered via servicenow and not SCCM.  These are all SQL Server.

Hi @Nancy Schilli

could you please share a screenshot of the software installation table for one of the devices and filtered by the mentioned SQL Server. Please add the column "Active Install".

I have the following assumption: During the discovery process different areas are scanned, which provide information about software installations (e.g. Add/Remove, SQL Server Pattern, DB instances etc.). To avoid false results, certain (duplicate/similar) installations are ignored so that there is only one valid source,

Best, Dennis

these are all active installs and there is only 1 discovery source
