Hi I am assuming you are creating new consumable assets - you would need "asset" role to modify.

Hi Nancy, you cannot change the quantity of a Consumable record after it is created, You have to Consume the consumable to decrease the quantity, or create a new consumable record with the same model to increase the quantity.
If you need more info on how to perform either, let me know.
Hope this helps,
Teri

Thanks for replying Teri,
maybe using consumable records isn't the correct way to do this..
I'm trying to add bulk assets that are non serialized, they will be located at different sites.. I need to be able to adjust total up or down.
for ex.
FT HOOD, AP-124, 100 EA
FT JACKSON, AP-124, 100 EA
after refresh at ft hood, have to take away 50
FT HOOD, AP-124 -50 EA
after refresh at ft Jackson, have to add 50
FT JACKSON, AP-124, +50
Thanks for all your help!!!
