Workday Integration with SAM Pro details

We are in the process of integrating Workday with SAM Pro and would like to know the following information with respect to the integration process - 

1) Which Workday API's are involved in the Integration process

2) Complete list of fields that will be pulled into ServiceNow from Workday

3) Expected data flow between the systems (field mapping)

4) High level Architecture 

5) Any design documentation for Workday SaaS integration 

 

Actually the Workday SPOC person from the client side wants these information and they won't approve the integration process until we provide them the above details with some solid evidence. So kindly share links/evidences (if you have any) to support your answer. Thanks in advance.

Hi @ankurc2,

  • The integration provides OOTB subflows to download subscriptions from Workday HCM and Workday Financials.
  • Recent releases added OAuth support, event-based processing, and updated the integration to use employment information instead of personal information for subscription processing.

The authoritative source for the imported fields is the OOTB Flow Designer subflows/actions and their field mappings in your instance. If your client requires official confirmation of the APIs, field mappings, or integration design

First  Sharing you with old versioned doc as when I did it in 2024 end, I followed the same. In Zurich/Australia , details are less.

Based on your instance version , select the document.

1. Integrating with Workday 

2. Workday team will share Endpoint with credential - you will create Direct integration profile by that.

3. All Workwer category, application  mapping would be there in related list. Based on your scope , you have to keep active/deactivate it.

4. point 3 whatever , you will select , check with Workday team for the usage count. They will provide the list. same count you should  receive in Subscription table. Reconcile the data according to that.
