I'm looking for a supported way to apply a different reference qualifier to a variable that belongs to a shared Variable Set.
Scenario
I have an "Opened for" reference variable that belongs to a Variable Set used by multiple Record Producers.
For most Record Producers, the field should continue showing users from a defined list of company codes.
However, for one specific Record Producer (Credit Card Application the field needs to display a different set of users based on a different company code filter.
Challenge
Because the variable is in a shared Variable Set:
- I cannot simply change the Reference Qualifier on the variable, as it would affect all Record Producers.
- I tried using a Catalog Client Script with g_form.setReferenceQual(), but it does not seem to work for this use case and the lookup results are not filtered as expected.
- Creating a duplicate variable is not an option because the Variable Set is shared across many catalog items and Record Producers.
