Configuring reference field in Gantt chart

Trying to configure a reference field (Assigned to) in the Gantt chart in the OOTB Gantt component Now Component Library | ServiceNow Developers.

It just shows searching, and there are no suggestions if I enter any letters in it.

If someone has already configured it, I can't make it work.
