Portal List Widget that allows field edits

We have a custom table, and the owner of this process would like us to present the table in our Portal, which is not a problem. The process owner is asking us to incorporate a table search on the fields displayed, which is doable. The issue we are struggling with is the process owner also wants to EDIT fields on the custom table without opening the entire record.
I have been searching for a portal widget that allows a user, with the proper permissions, to edit a field on the list without opening the entire record. I've come across the Portal Data List widget, which meets the criteria other than the ability to edit a field on the record. Does anyone know of a portal widget that allows a user to update/change a value on a field without needing to open the entire record?

I realize this is now over a year later, but in researching this, I found a great widget made by Jon Barnes that seems to do the job. It seems there are some limitations with dot-walked fields. A great place to start if anyone hadn't found this yet. I attached his more recent version to this post. Not sure if there's anything newer than this, it doesn't look like anything ever made it to Share.
